About the Campaign
The game is set in a megadungeon complex, The Hollow Mountain. It’s designed to be explored freely throughout and indirect quests; rumors, legends, and hunches are what drives the plot.
The game is played using D&D 3.5 rules. Any official work goes, but try to avoid overshadowing anyone else’s character. Optimization should be completely optional.
A couple house-rules.
- Polymorphing and Summoning are very high maintenance spells. If either spell is used, the player using them needs to have the information immediately at hand. Looking up the spell causes it to fail.
- Initiative is never used. The players and the enemies each go together. Whoever is more aware of the conflict goes first, then alternating thereafter. Spot and Listen are more important than initiative.
